Course Description;

A headpiece / hat can create a whole persona, it can draw attention to or divert attention from a face or an outfit. On this millinery course we will introduce you to the techn for blocking and shaping of complicated blocks, the professional techniques will help you develop the correct manipulative skills, You will be encouraged to develop your d abilities and feeling for your own style.

This course will allow your imagination to run wild by working on material you will be asked to bring to the class.
This course is flexible so that experience, ability and task are taken into consideration.Depending on the scale of projects you undertake during the week; you should expect to with 2 or three completed pieces.

Outline Of Course;

 
  •  Veiling(Techniques to fix your merry ) ie bird cage Headpiece.
  • Techniques in Blocking complicated hat blocks (You can bring your own Hat blocks if you wish to in addition to what we would provide).
  • Making a Perched Hat .
  • Working with crinoline(Different techniques)
  • Wiring Techniques
  • Shaping and working with feathers.
  • Techniques in working on your headbands to secure your hats, Fascinator, cocktail hats

Items would Be Provided ; Hat Blocks | Threads (Assorted Colors) | Note Book | Millinery Wire | Straw Stiffener | Hat Blocks (You can bring. your own designs as well ) | UHU glue | Petersham | Tailers Chalk
